A true gem! July 16, 2005
I'm an unabashed, definitely sentimental, fan of well done picture books. This one is flat-out wonderful. The family love, the importance of rituals, the joy of passing them down--it's all here is this gently told, comfortingly illustrated, yet emotionally powerful story. I loved it, and cried tears of contentment (buckets of them) as I read it again and again.
